Frequently Asked Questions

Custom orders typically take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Since framed pieces require the perfect thrifted frame, they might take a little longer. I want to make sure each piece gets the care and attention it deserves, so I don’t rush orders or move anyone ahead in the queue. Thanks so much for your patience, it truly means a lot!

You can cancel your order anytime before the initial sketch is sent to you. After that point, I’m unable to offer cancellations or refunds. If you receive the final piece and aren’t happy with it, please message me. So much care goes into every painting, and I want to make sure you love it!

Yes, you can definitely request a specific type of thrifted frame or fabric mat. Because thrifted frames are all unique, I can’t promise I will find the exact vibe you’re looking for, but I always do my best! The same goes for fabric mats. I usually can match the color pretty well, but the pattern might be different. That is part of what makes each piece special and one of a kind.

I usually decide which thrifted frame to pair with your portrait while I’m creating the piece. I really love dark browns and antique golds because they have so much warmth and character. But I always listen to your requests and try to find something you will love. If you’d rather choose your own frame, you can order a print without a frame and pick one yourself later!

Absolutely yes! Please message me if you’d like me to share your project on TikTok. I want to be respectful of everyone’s privacy, so there’s a chance the project might be featured anyway. If you absolutely don’t want that, please let me know too.

Yes, I do! I’m always open to other ideas. Please email me before placing your order so I can make sure I fully understand your vision. I can't promise I’ll be able to take on every request, but if it’s something I feel confident creating and delivering well, I’d love to work with you.

Not all of them are vintage, but they’re all thrifted. Some are true vintage and others are more recently donated. I usually find them at local thrift stores and estate sales. It takes some digging but that’s part of the fun!

Ellesyn is my first name and Mare is my middle name. Most of my friends call me Elle (it sounds like Ellie), but I love getting to use my full name for this business. It feels special and just right for what I’m creating here!

Yes, you can! Please message me first about your request. If there are a lot of details, there may be an extra charge since more time is needed to create the piece.

Ooh, I love this question! I’ve always been an artist and have painted many murals, but it was mostly just for fun. I never did anything professionally at first. I actually majored in biology in college and minored in digital media design so I could take extra art classes. After college, I got a job in marketing as a designer, which gave me the confidence to put myself out there. Since then, I’ve never looked back!
